You spawn in a plains right next to a nice village. The plains has deserts visible from most sides, and at the coordinates [-275 \ ~ \ 264] you will find a desert temple with another village right across a river!
The desert temple also has some emeralds to get you started on trading.
The first village has many hay bales to give you some wheat. Finally, there are a lot of sheep near spawn, so you can easily get a bed.
